Help needed.
The support and visitor/reader numbers for the sites and magazine have been fantastic. But the magazine desperately needs more help to continue.
So far Bandwidth Magazine and the web sites (three main web sites plus two mobile browser sites) and the magazine have all been run mainly by just two people, with a little (very much appreciated) help from one or two more people. All costs have been covered by the webmaster/editor.
Starting up the new magazine involves additional time and costs of planning, marketing, meetings, etc.
There are only so many hours in a day.
We need people to send us news, reviews, stories, technical reviews, etc.
What radio or telephone do you use, is it as good as the marketing people made you believe it was? How about your service provider, good deal or poor service? I have been through 8 internet service providers trying to find a reliable one who actually knows the meaning of "customer care"... Did you do any better?
How about CB radio, does anyone use it in your area? Do you remember the good old days when we bought equipment and used it, rather than replacing it every few months because we like the colour of the new one?

Search Engine.
Please note that this site has an all-in-one search engine. You may use the search box on any page to search for pages on this site, plus look for dealers, clubs and related pages on other Web sites in our database.
Just type in keywords and click the button to have all these searches done in one go. For dealer or club searches you may enter an area code, town, city, etc. For a list of on-line dealers, search for the word "web".
We hope that this makes searching easier than separate pages and confusing options.

Accessibility.
For those who have difficulty with issues such as small text, this site is now being given accessibility options.
This is still in the early stages, with just text size selection. We would like to hear suggestions from anyone having problems with this site.
A link to the settings page has been placed in the footer of each page.

Slow down.
Due to the time taken working on the magazine, new content for this site may be slow coming. However, the new magazine and it's associated site should provide more than enough material for those interested in CB radio.
Much of the new content for this site will pass via the magazine first, before appearing here. As magazine contributors may retain their copyrights, only magazine content supplied by this site may appear here.

Mobile site.
This site is now available for mobile devices, such as mobile phones, via a new site specially designed for mobile devices. The new mobile (WAP) site is optimized for mobile devices with smaller pages, low bandwidth and W3c standard XHTML Basic.
The most viewed page on this site, the microphone database, is now available on-the-go with Web enabled mobile phones.
The new WAP site is available at www.citizens-band.radiouk.com.

News.
Following months of planning, Citizens' Bandwidth Magazine is due to go live later this month (July 2009), with the release of the August 2009 issue.
This will mark the start of regular issues with news and features.
