UK CB frequency charts.Frequencies.
The UK presently has two bands allocated to CB. The information on this page is
for the UK only 27MHz band, as allocated in 1981.UK only.
The UK Government had plans to
remove this band from CB use by
the year 2010, although the future of the band is still under consideration.
European band.
This band is commonly used across Europe. Each member country may also have their
own, additional frequencies and modulation modes.
Dual band equipment.
The UK government approved the use of equipment covering both UK and EU CB bands
back in 1997. This approval only applies to equipment which has been designed and
approved as dual band equipment and only for use within the UK.You may not use dual band CB equipment in other EU countries and you may not convert single band CB equipment. UK UHF frequencies.
It is no longer legal to operate CB equipment on this band. This is the original band offered back in 1981. Due to the low number of channels, price of equipment and the fact that this was far from the 27MHz asked for, the British public never took to this band. The specification was withdrawn in 1988, stopping the production of new sets, and the band was totally withdrawn in January 1999.
